Netiquette

Netiquette is using manners and knowing how to behave properly on the internet. It affects you and anyone you are talking to or posting about etc. Good netiquette is not typing in caps, be polite, don't start a flame war and don't harass or cyber bully. Poor netiquette is being rude, arguing for no reason, bullying and etc.

Social Networking

Social networking is a website or program you use that lets you communicate with others. They can also include games, sharing photos, and other things. Your digital footprint is your impact on the internet, your footprint in the web. Like if you google your name and find your facebook or something that's a part of your footprint. Social networking affects your footprint a lot because it shows a lot of information about you and lets it float around the web. It also makes it easier to find you if employers look you up or colleges wanting to make sure you're not a bad kid and stuff.

What's Legal

Meriam Webster defines copyright as: "the exclusive legal right to reproduce, publish, sell, or distribute the matter or form of something. There are many fine lines between what's legal and what's not. There's also different kinds of copyright like art, drama, music and other things. You can buy mP3s off the internet like iTunes legally but if you use file sharing or put the mP3 online for others to download it's illegal. Now in some cases it's not. For example the band Man Overboard puts up a lot of free downloads on their website but it's all owned by them and their record label. They can do that without getting in trouble because they own the rights to it, they created it and everything. Another example is movies or books. If you have ideas for something like a boook or movie and someone else has the same idea, if you don't have tangible proof that it was your idea first they can go ahead and produce/write it.

We Are The In Crowd-Copyright Problem

The pop punk band “We Are The In Crowd," the reggae group “The In Crowd” and Hopeless Records were involved in it. We Are The In Crowd's original name was The In Crowd but there was another band already named that. Instead of going to court about it, the pop punk band decided to change their name to avoid more trouble. Hopeless Records was involved because they wanted We Are The In Crowd under their label and it wouldn't work out as long as their name was "The In Crowd" They went through a lot of variations of the name before settling on WATIC. Some fans still refer to them as "The In Crowd" but, it’s never on their merch or any products of theirs anymore so they don’t get in trouble. If there was a case they probably would’ve had to pay a fine and change the name anyways

England

England

I didn't have a favorite part of the project casue I didn't like the project.I thought it was boring because everyone does projects on countries all the time, it gets old. I guess my least favorite part though was presenting just because I don't like to. I didn't learn much I didn't already know and I thought my presentation was average. Suggestion: Let kids research what they wanna research instead of restricting it to countries or find a more fun topic/uncommon topic.
Favorite presentation...Jacobs.

The Apocalypse Isn't Real.

The highlight of 2011 for me was probably Band Camp or anything related to marching band. They're the best dysfuntional family ever. My low point of the year was honestly, almost my whole 8th grade year. Junior High in general sucked for me and I can't do anything different about it because, it's Junior High and you have to go through with it. My goals for 2012 are goals I could have achieved at anytime. I wanna go to a 'The Wonder Years' show and a 'Green Day' show if they're touring. I wanna make it to ANY Pop Punk show I can. Also there's more personal ones but I don't want anyone in this class or the teacher getting into my personal life. Also if I was given $100,000 I would spend it on a new isntrument and spend it on something none of you would know about. Concert Tickets and give the rest away.
