Emerging Technologies
I read about the light-field photography. Lytro made a new camera being sold at $399 and what it does for now is it let's you take photos and focus them AFTER you take the picture. For example if you're at a concert and there's a lot of movement and your shot comes out blurry, you could focus the frame after it's processed. It all has to do with how this camera captures light and reflects differently from other cameras. The company is also planning software updates that allow you to capture everything sharply regardless of distance which is hard to get on a conventional camera and another where it will capture 3-D images.
I assume that technology will keep advancing as well as how much we use it and how efficient it can become. When it comes to surprises I haven't been very surprised I mean the new technology is interesting but I wouldn't say people couldn't predict it because things change everyday. Possibilities in the future in this area probably have to do with computers or some type of system that has to do with our lakes. I can't think of anything specific. The emerging technologies that site listed I didn't know were emerging at the time and right now. I don't think what's being used now is exactly like what's listed but I think we're using nano technology, software networking, and getting some type of internet access around the world or at least to new places.
